A gemological laboratory cannot disregard photomicrography, which enables to properly certify the inclusions typical for a gem and highlight many important treatments. Photography allows the gemological staff to consult all filed photographic documents. The tools quality is essential, that is the reason why our laboratory use advanced stationing especially designed using Wild Heerbrugg microscopes, real optical jewels. The stages are equipped with micrometric engines commanded from computers and from special software that can perform multiple expositions and precision stacking. The full frame D800 Nikon reflex camera ensures an excellent dynamic range and an uncompromised resolution. Last but not least, the lightening implant is made up of different techniques as far as dark, clear and transmitted light fields are concerned. Furthermore, techniques of polarized light, optical fibers supplied with stationing focusers and directional pinpoints ensure a complete equipment making photography possible in all sorts of situations.

Used for jewels and minerals descriptive photography, this tool enables to light the subject from all different directions. The light in the studio is perfectly homogeneous and there are no undesired reflections. Thanks to the just mentioned conditions, the subject can be portrayed with no shadows.
